Prevention & early intervention service for adult carers in Bexley

Are you an adult over 18 caring for someone living in Bexley who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction could not cope without your support?

If so you are entitled to a carer’s assessment. A carer’s assessment will give you an opportunity to discuss what  support or services you need from the council.
The assessment will look at how caring affects your life, including for example, your physical, mental and emotional needs, and whether you are able or willing to carry on caring.

If you are not in receipt of any council services you may be eligible to receive this service, however due to the nature of the funding the local authority are the gatekeeper(owner) and any referrals and hours allocated must be agreed by them. We are required to provide the names and addresses of people who contact us for this service together with details of any other services you receive. If the council agree to funding the service then they will contact us and ask us to arrange a visit to come and meet with you at a convenient time.

Once we have undertaken the assessment we will look to identify an appropriate member of staff to be introduced to you.
If you have any questions about this service then please contact the office on 01322 336086  or email us at info@ccsel.org
